Introduction of Alicia Yuhong Wang
Alicia Yuhong Wang was born and grew up in Shanghai, China. She is a Senior Lecturer of Sketch and Colour in the Department of Landscape Design, Shanghai Jiaotong University of Agriculture and Biology. She was also a Senior Lecturer of oil painting research at the Shanghai Institute of Visual Art from 2012- 2015.
From early 2000, Alicia started her unique style of painting of objects of both Chinese antiques and modern houseware with a sophisticated combination and an interesting contrast. Alicia endeavours to provoke thoughts from readers to reflect upon history and encourage appreciation of cultural inheritance. Over the years, her real life and unique style of painting has become more and more popular and is widely accepted by both Western and Chinese art collectors.
In the last 16 years, Alicia has been invited to join art shows and exhibitions in UK, France, Germany, USA, South Korea, Ukraine and major cities in China such as Beijing and Shanghai. Her artworks have been collected by Shanghai Art Museum, The Shanghai Research Institute of Culture and History, Liu Haisu Art Museum, Zhujiajiao Museum of Humanities & Arts, and Shanghai Concert Hall.
