The Chinese character ‘大 da’ means ‘great’ or ‘grand’, and ‘吉 ji’ means ‘great fortune’ or ‘good luck’. In combination, ‘大吉 da ji’ expresses an auspicious wish of ‘May you enjoy great fortune’.
