Treasure of Prosperity: Nieuwenhuys Collection in the Shanghai Museum
In order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of its establishment, Shanghai Museum is holding a special exhibition, ‘Treasure of Prosperity: Gifts for the Shanghai Museum’ (盛世芳华·上海博物馆受赠文物展), which displays a collection of Chinese porcelain, painting, jade carving, seal, furniture and bronze ware that were donated by renowned Chinese and foreign collectors over the years. From 10 March 2022 to 8 Jan 2023, antique lovers are welcomed to visit the No. 2 Exhibition Hall in the Shanghai Museum for free and appreciate the beauty of the cultural relics that were treasured for more than hundreds of years.
Here are some porcelain ware donated by Mr Henk B. Nieuwenhuys (倪汉克) from the Netherlands.
